What is The Initiative PH (TIPH)?
: The Initiative PH is a student-run volunteer organization that provides food and water to the homeless and coordinates relief goods efforts for evacuees and refugees.

What does TIPH do?
: TIPH members engage in local, long-term volunteer programs addressing problems in Metro Manila communities and special projects organized in response to natural disasters, conflict, etc.

What kinds of donation does The Initiative PH accept?
: We accept donations in kind, which can be sent to this address:

Bldg 2488, Conchu St. Corner Estrada St., Malate, Manila

We are also accepting cash donations. You may contact us through theinitiativeph@gmail.com for further details.

How do I ensure that my donations were given to the evacuees/refugees/groups of people undergoing crisis?

: The Initiative PH’s documentation team conducts photo ops of your donations step-by-step, from packaging to shipping. You can find these photos in our blog posts, where we keep you regularly updated as to the progress of our projects.

How do I join The Initiative PH?
: You can be affiliated with The Initiative PH in three ways:

1. As a donor/benefactor – Contact any TIPH member and ask to be connected to the heads. Your status as benefactor for a certain project must be verified by at least one of the TIPH heads. If there is a scheduled volunteer meet, you can drop off your donation there. If there is no scheduled volunteered meet, set up a meet up with one of the TIPH members. This meet up must be reported to the TIPH heads before it transpires, so that it will be documented. (The official list of TIPH heads and their contact information can be viewed on this page.)

2. As a temporary member – Temporary members are honorary TIPH members for a specific project. They are not involved in any regular or future projects. You can become a temporary member by contacting any TIPH member and asking to be connected to any of the TIPH heads. You can also sign up by attending a volunteer meet. Once your membership is approved by 2/3 of the board, you will be added to that project’s Facebook group chat.

3. As a regular member – Regular members are members who participate in both regular and special projects. Regular members do not necessarily have to be involved in all projects. Regular members have permanent membership unless your membership is withdrawn or terminated by not fulfilling your obligations. You can become a regular member by contacting any TIPH member and asking to be connected to any of the TIPH heads. You can also sign up by attending a volunteer meet. Once your membership is approved by 2/3 of the board, you will be added to the official TIPH Facebook group chat.
