- Department of Administrative Affairs
Do you have what it takes to run an organization?
The Department of Administrative Affairs (DAA) is concerned with the executive functions of the organization. It exists to enforce the bylaws, manage human resources, administer general task assignments, and preside over organization-wide decision-making.
2. Department of Publications and Communications
Can you create, curate, and communicate?
The Department of Publications and Communications (DPC) is concerned with curating the organization’s publicly published content. It liaisons with the Operations Branch’s Content Writers, Multimedia Artists, and Documentations Team to gather content, ensuring its quality before publishing.
3. Department of Accounting
Do you have the right hands to handle the dough?
The Department of Accounting (DA) is concerned with handling the finances of the organization. It also monitors the cash and kind donations of the members, working in close relation with the Human Resources Officers of the Department of Administrative Affairs (DAA). It liaisons with the Operations Branch’s Logistics Officers to meet the financial needs of organizational operations.
4. Department of Disaster Relief
Can you respond lightning fast to the wreckage left by thunder?
The Department of Disaster Relief (DDR) is concerned with responding to areas and communities affected by natural calamity or catastrophic accidents. It is in charge of any events, activities, projects, partnerships, and sponsorships formed by the organization for the benefit of these areas and communities.
5. Department of Health Aid
You wanna heal the world, make it a better place, for you and for me and the entire human race?
The Department of Health Aid (DHA) is concerned with responding to areas and communities affected by terminal illness and mental health issues. It is in charge of any events, activities, projects, partnerships, and sponsorships formed by the organization for the benefit of these areas and communities.
6. Department of Marginalized Community Action
If you are just like your country, you’re young, scrappy, and hungry, do not throw away your shot.
The Department of Marginalized Community Action (DMCA) is concerned with responding to areas and communities affected by violence and other forms of oppression. It is in charge of any events, activities, projects, partnerships, and sponsorships formed by the organization for the benefit of these areas and communities.
7. Department of Animal and Environmental Welfare
If you care about mines, you’re mine. *doggos and cattos do a high five*
The Department of Animal and Environmental Welfare (DAEW) is concerned with responding to issues affecting animals and natural resources. It is in charge of any events, activities, projects, partnerships, and sponsorships formed by the organization for the benefit of these areas and communities.
8. Department of Initiatives – Project Katipunan
Homie, the homeless need you.
The Department of Initiatives (DI) is concerned with alleviating the problems of communities situated in a specific area. It is in charge of any events, activities, projects, partnerships, and sponsorships formed by the organization for the benefit of these areas and communities. It does not follow Department-centralized governance. Instead, there are different structures within each project.
Once having begun with Project Taft, The Initiative PH is now thrilled to announce the inauguration of Project Katipunan. The first edition of Project Katipunan intends to provide prepaid meal cards for the homeless through partnerships with food establishments along Katipunan and Diliman. Still in the works, Project Katipunan needs heads and volunteers.
